Marty Buttwinick
Marty Buttwinick is a veteran musician, band leader and instructor. Throughout his colorful career he has played a multitude of venues from clubs to major concert halls and has recorded for film, records and television. Marty has worked with the likes of Latin great Willie Bobo and Motown Queen Martha and the Van Dellas and currently plays a variety of local musical venues. Buttwinick has a formal background in composition and conducting and is a music copyist for local singers as well as international acts. Educationally, Marty has taught more than twenty-five thousand hours of one-on-one instruction guiding students and clients in achieving their musical goals with a healthy workshop background teaching musicians and singers the fine points of working in ensembles. In addition to teaching beginning and intermediate students, some top acts that his professional students have performed or recorded with include Little Feat, Delaney and Bonnie, Robert Palmer, Tori Amos, Macy Gray, Dixie Chicks, Seal and Linkin Park. Marty currently lives in Glendale, California and is freelancing as a bassist, songwriting, being a music copyist and teaching bass, guitar and keyboards while filling in any holes his singer students have in their musical training including the basics of reading and writing charts.
