Whatever your involvement with music is, the possibility exits that achieving your full potential may be blocked or diminished by any one of seven specific areas. I know what these areas are, how they get bugged and how to fix them.
I am offering an expanded musical service: I am a troubleshooter.I start with a consultation. In this meeting we discover the exact points that are holding you back. From there, I either handle them on the spot or create a program for you to complete.
I have over 25,000 hours in the teacher chair, am a thirty-five year veteran professional, gigging musician, a teacher for twenty-eight years, a published author and a very experienced bandleader.
My specialty is helping YOU get all the pieces of the puzzle aligned.
Want to talk about it? Need more info? Want to refer a friend?

I have composed about 20 tunes over the years: lyrical folk/rock/country on keyboard, dulcimer and a bit on guitar.
Would like to arrange and compose more, plenty of ideas, little time.
Wondering if i should learn “band in a box” or look for some arrangers/musicians. Like many, my ear is good and music theory is not so good.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Hello Mark,
Band in a Box is a good little tool. it might not help on the arranging and composing front though. I all depends on exactly what you mean.
Without a ton of “formal” study, having a good notation program (e.g., Sibelius or Finale) and/or a good digital audio work station in invaluable. (Such as Logic or Ableton Live!) With those programs you can write what ever you want and immediately hear it back! It’s great. I use Sibelius and am planning on getting into Logic this year.
What kind of arranging and composing do you mean? I.e., strings? rhythm section?
