  9. Tonal skills for bass lines, understanding music, playing tunes, soloing and composing: scales, arpeggios, pentatonic & blues scales and interval studies.
  10. Harmonic understanding. This deals with chord types and chord progressions. Depending on the goals, we cover playing through chord changes and the development of bass lines in any style: jazz walking bass lines, reggae, funk, rock, etc.
  11. Independence skills: learning to sing and play at the same time.

  10. Independence skills: learning to sing and play at the same time.
  11. Rhythm skills for soloing and singing.
  12. Tonal skills for playing songs, soloing, understanding music and: scales, arpeggios, pentatonic & blues scales and interval studies.
  13. Harmonic understanding: chord types and chord progressions.

 

 


PIANO LESSONS


 

    THE ESSENTIALS

  1. Attach and release technique.
  2. Melodic technique: scales and arpeggios.
  3. Chord technique.
  4. Basic theory.
  5. Reading skills, if reading music.

    APPLICATION

  7. Playing songs you like whether by ear, reading music or both.
  8. Rhythm skills for grooving, accompaniment and soloing.
  9. Independence skills: learning to sing and play at the same time.
  10. Tonal skills for understanding music, playing tunes, soloing and composing: scales, arpeggios, pentatonic & blues scales and interval studies.
  11. Harmonic understanding. This deals with chord types and chord progressions. Depending on the goals, I cover how to play through chord changes, chord voicings (at a beginning and intermediate level), soloing over chord changes and the development of your personal style.
